This hole, one of the toughest in golf, is so close to the clubhouse, one is tempted to retire there after playing it, or trying to. It is important to use plenty of club because you must carry the steep bunkers that precede the small patch of fairway in front of the green. there are also bunkers at the back, and the green slopes severly toward the front.
